My reasons for wanting to be a delegate: I have been an ENS user and public advocate for ENS since I first entered the space back in February of 2021. Purchasing my ENS domain was one of the first steps I took, and I fell in love with the potential this protocol has to improve the experience of not only using Ethereum but also of using the internet itself.
As a non-binary individual who has thought deeply about the concept of online identity and self-expression for many years, I believe I have a valuable perspective that is currently underrepresented in the web3 ecosystem and in the ENS ecosystem. In order to build a platform that will benefit as many humans as possible, we need more diverse voices and perspectives to be represented in the ENS DAO. I was encouraged to become a delegate by many people for several months, but I was undecided about it. Recently an anonymous wallet delegated over 100K ENS votes to me out of the blue, and it forced me to more seriously consider the idea of becoming a delegate formally. After much consideration, I have decided to do that.
Throughout my web3 career, I have been an educator focused on bridging the gap between normal people and crypto people. I have also not shied away from asking hard questions about the things we are building. Rather than being purely a web3 optimist, I also approach this industry and technology with a critical eye to ensure we don’t thoughtlessly go down a harmful path.
